After the referendum in Switzerland on a denial of the construction of new minarets many people ask themselves whether also in Germany the construction of new minerets should be forbidden. In addition it might be interesting for what reasons the decisions are made or even more general whether this question would have been of interest at all without the vote in Switzerland?
Answers in favour of a denial
They disturb my area of live: I personally feel bothered, e.g. because a minaret would not fit into my area or because I am afraid of its visitors.
Retrench the Islam: Everything should be done to hinder the Islam, as I think the Islam is a dangerous religion.

Unimportant: This question is not really important for me. Without the current discussion I surely would never have wasted a though on that matter.
Answers against a denial
Freedom of religion: Everyone should be allowed to practice his religion without denial. The building of minarets is not bothering me that much that I have the right to hinder others in their religious practice.
International understanding: The allowance to build minarets is an important contribution for the understanding of different cultures.
